In 2007, Monitise Americas LLC was formed  a joint venture between Monitise plc, the world's most successful mobile banking and payments company, and FIS, one of the leading providers of payment technology. Currently, Monitise Americas provides mobile services to over 240 financial institutions in the United States.
 

Adding to the products and services offered in the Americas, Monitise Group signed a global alliance with Visa Inc. in 2009 to custom-develop mobile services for Visa across a spectrum of handsets to ensure Visa account holders have a consistent, user-friendly, and secure mobile payment experience.
